MEET OUR TEAM OF ARCHITECTS
ASHLEY
Ashley Mitlyng, a licensed Architect and owner of Mitlyng Design, has spent 25+ years thoughtfully reimagining homes to meet her clients’ changing needs. Ashley has dedicated her career to helping clients feel good in their homes — skillfully designing spaces that look beautiful, honor the original character, and function seamlessly for modern life.
Originally from Nebraska, Ashley earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln but has spent her entire career in the Twin Cities. Ashley is deeply engaged in the architectural profession, serving on the boards of AIA Minneapolis and Minnesota, mentoring women emerging in the industry, and earning many industry awards and recognitions for her work.
KATIE
Katie Loecken, a licensed Architect at Mitlyng Design, has spent 15+ years helping homeowners rediscover what makes their spaces special — and elevating them for modern living and design. Katie is passionate about remodeling because it makes great design more accessible and is more sustainable to reimagine buildings that already exist. Katie earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and has won numerous awards and scholarships for her work in the field.
